Those at Arsenal believed that they were getting one of the most exciting talents in world football, with plenty of potential for them to unlock in a tricky and powerful winger that appeared perfectly suited to life in the Premier League.
But his tricks and skills couldn’t make a significant impact on Arsenal, Arsenal fans were impressed more by their youngsters than the Ivory Coast international.
Pepe’s time at the club has not gone as expected, especially given the money they paid for him. However, he did win the FA Cup with the Gunners in 2020, beating Chelsea 2-1 in the final where Pepe assisted Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s second goal of the game.
