The Danish Basketball Federation will host the FIBA 3×3 Europe Cup 2025 and one of the FIBA 3×3 Europe Cup Qualifiers in 2024.
The city Hall Square in Copenhagen will host the 10th edition of the Europe Cup on September 2025. The Danish capital will also play host to one of the FIBA 3×3 Europe Cup Qualifiers in 2024. In the same year 3×3 will make their second Olympic appearance at the Paris Olympics.
“We are really happy and proud of bringing the 3×3 Europe Cup to Denmark for the first time”, Kamil Novak, FIBA Europe Executive Director said in a press release.
“Copenhagen and Denmark are perfect matches to 3×3 as one of the missions of this discipline is to bring basketball to the people and show that everyone can be successful in 3×3.”
This is the first time that Denmark will host a major European Basketball event. Danish Basketball Federation will organise the event along with Sport Event Denmark, City of Copenhagen and Wonderful Copenhagen.

‘Proud to host the FIBA event’
Chairman of the board of the Danish Basketball Federation, Mads Young Christensen opened up about hosting the event.
“We are proud to host the 3×3 Europe Cup 2025. Also the qualifier on Danish soil in collaboration with the city of Copenhagen and Sport Event Denmark. I am thrilled that for the first time in Danish basketball history we will host a major Basketball event.
“We get the opportunity to showcase our fantastic sport to the Danes and show our international basketball family why Denmark is unique as a host nation for major sporting events,” Christensen said.

Meanwhile, Lars Lundov, director of Sport Event Denmark said, “3×3 is one of the new Olympic disciplines with high entertainment value and great street credit. Therefore, the Europe Cup 2025, the qualifier in 2024, and Copenhagen are a perfect match. Together with the Danish Basketball Federation, and Copenhagen, we are planning a vast program of side activities during the urban festival embracing the tournaments.”
Twelve men’s teams and 12 women’s teams will compete in Copenhagen over 3 days. They will qualify through a series of qualifiers, held in 2025, in locations to be announced at a later stage.
France’s women and Serbia’s men are the reigning Europe Cup winners after their masterpiece performance in Graz, Austria on September 2022.
