Bayern drop points for third consecutive match in Bundesliga which leaves them just a point above Union Berlin and 2 more than Leipzig. Since the return of the league post World Cup break, Bayern have failed to win all 3 points. The Bavarians have faced Leipzig and Frankfurt in 2 of their last 3 league fixtures which ended in draw. The title race at Germany is now wide open with only a point separating the top 4 teams.

Bayern drop points again
Nagelsmann’s side are yet to win a Bundesliga fixture since the restart of the league. The lead at the top of the table is reduced to just a point and the German top flight is heading towards an exciting title race. Bayern, Union Berlin, Leipzig and Freiburg are placed at top 4 with only a point difference each. The Bavarians are currently going through a result crisis. They are in need of a win in their next league fixture to boost their confidence and protect their lead. RB Leipzig increased the pressure after securing a 2-1 victory over Stuttgart at home. Union Berlin also continued with their impressive league run and bagged all 3 points away against Hertha. Freiburg convincingly won their fixture 3-1 against Augsburg.
Bayern were prepared for a litmus test in Frankfurt with other top of the table teams picking all 3 points. The hosts took the lead courtesy Leroy Sane’s goal. French forward Kolo Muani spoiled the party for Bavarians with his 69th minute equaliser. Nagelsmann’s side couldn’t find a winner as they dropped points for third straight league fixture. Bayern will travel to face Wolfsburg in their matchday 19 league fixture. With Union, Leipzig breathing under their neck it is so crucial to secure all 3 points.
