Continuing her rich vein of form in white-ball cricket away from home, Harmanpreet smashed her fifth ODI ton in the second encounter of the bilateral series between India and England.

Walking to bat at number four, the 33-year-old smashed 148 runs off 111 balls.

She was also joined by Harleen Deol in the batting assault as the young all-rounder smashed 58 runs.

The brilliant batting in the first innings resulted in India posting a score of 333 runs in their allotted 50 overs.

Chasing the score, England were aiming for a ferocious start.

However, they lost their first three wickets within eight overs.

The middle-order batter Alice Capsey, Danielle Wyatt, and skipper Amy Jones made efforts by scoring 39, 65, and 39 runs respectively but not enough to take the home side to victory.

Harmanpreet has also entered her name in the history books with her match-winning knock for the Women In Blue.

"After that (50) I just gave that freedom to myself" 🏏
