India Legends are the champions in the second edition of the Road Safety World Series, they won the game by 33 runs and outplayed the Sri Lankan Legends in all the 3 departments.

India Legends won the toss and opted to field first. Nuwan Kulasekara was making the new ball talk and managed to pick up two early wickets, Sachin Tendulkar for a golden duck and Suresh Raina for just 4 runs.
Naman Ojha was slow to start off with but made up for all those leaves early on with some cracking boundaries!!
Vinay Kumar was promoted up the order and played a 36 of 21 and got India back in the game after a poor start. Ojha and Kumar took India past the 100-run mark.

Naman Ojha was on fire today, his unbeaten 108 off 71 balls included 15 fours and 2 sixes propelled India to 195-6 in 20 overs.
There was a lot of dew during the second half of the first inning, Sri Lanka fancied their chances at the halfway mark to chase down the total.
They got off to a disastrous start losing 4 batters early in the chase, 41/4 in 7.2 losing their inform batters T Dilshan, Dilshan Munaweera, Sanath Jayasuriya and Upul Tharanga.
Asela Gunaratne and Jeevan Mendis steadied the ship and stitched a good partnership, but the required rate had skyrocketed and it was a herculean task.
Jeevan Medis was dismissed on 20 of 11 and Gunaratne contributed with 19 of 17 balls.
Ishan Jayaratne didn’t give up till the very end, he hit some lusty blows and was well supported by Mahela Udawatte who got 26 of 19 balls.
At this point, the hopes of the Sri Lanka Legends were raised and they thought they had an outside chance!! Abhimanyu Mithun was introduced into the attack and dismissed Udawatte and also Udana off the very next ball.
Vinay Kumar bowled a fabulous over and dismissed Jayaratne on 51 of just 22 deliveries, and hit the last nail in the coffin by trapping Dhammika Leg before wicket.
Vinay Kumar was the pick of the bowlers for the India Legends who finished with 3 for 38 on his 3.5 overs. Abhimanyu Mithun scalped 2 wickets for 27 runs in his quota of 4. Rajesh Pawar, Stuart Binny, Rahul Sharma and Yusuf Pathan picked a wicket each!!
The Sri Lankan Legends dominated throughout the tournament but fell short of 33 runs and finish as runner-ups in the Road Safety World Series 2022.
