Charles Oliveira dominated Micheal Chandler, Dustin Poirier and Justin Gaethje in his last three fights. Oliveira has experience on his side, while Islam is young and fiery.
Islam coach believes that the fighter is in his prime and should finish Charles Oliveira at Abu Dhabi to become the reigning Light Weight Champion.
Khabib in a recent interview with UFC Russia said “I think Islam is more skilled than Oliveira,”. “Secondly, his experience as an amateur fighter. Also, he’s at his peak.
The Goat of all time in UFC (Khabib Nurmagomedov) further said Islam is at his peak. He isn’t 23, 26 or 27. Islam is 30 years . A week after the fight gets over at Abu Dhabi , he will be 31 years old.
It’s the best time for any athlete. It’s a time when your mental and physical state should be in synergy. Sometimes your mental state is high, but your physical state is going down.
Or when you’re 27 and at your physical peak, but mentally you’re not there yet, because you’re just 27, not 31.
Islam Makhachev is at his peak in his MMA career. I think Islam is better overall. Of course, there are some potential dangers that we’re working on where Islam needs to be careful. Other than that, Islam should roll over him.”
