“Before South Africa vs Netherlands game took place, Pakistan and Bangladesh must have thought that their contest would not be of any importance. Hats off to the Netherlands, just when South Africa started planning for the semi-finals they put up a brilliant performance to win the game by 13 runs. Pakistan and Bangladesh, who had been at the same venue for their contest that was scheduled next, towards the end of the Netherlands’ game, would have realized how important their final game was because both had chances of making it to the semi-finals.” said Chopra
“Bangladesh opted to bat first, and their start was not bad. But then Pakistan spinners controlled the game and Shaheen Shah Afridi registered his best bowling figures. Just when we thought Pakistan were out of the tournament, they have bounced back like a formidable force and are a dangerous side now. India will top their group and will face England in the semi-final. Pakistan will face New Zealand, the toppers of Group 1, and that contest is going to be very interesting and intriguing.” Chopra added.
New Zealand v lock horns with Pakistan on the 9th of November, it is expected to be a fascinating game.
