Ravindra Jadeja has officially been ruled out of the ODI series against Bangladesh along with pacer Yash Dayal, where the Rohit Sharma-led unit will be playing 3 ODIs.

His injury forced India to pay a huge price as the Men in Blue went into the T20 World Cup 2022 with a weaker bowling unit. India have definitely missed the class of Jadeja, he is an invaluable player for any team.
As per the announcement made by the BCCI, the allrounder will be replaced in the ODIs by Shahbaz Ahmed, who recently got his maiden cap against South Africa. Meanwhile, Kuldeep Sen has replaced Dayal who suffered from a lower back injury. Therefore, both the replacements Ahmed and Sen have been pulled out from New Zealand ODI series.

“Dayal has a lower back issue and is ruled out of the series while Jadeja is yet to recover from his knee injury and will continue to be under the supervision of the BCCI Medical team.
“Kuldeep and Shahbaz were initially named in the squad for the 3-match ODI series in New Zealand starting 25th November in Auckland. However, they will now be a part of the squad travelling to Bangladesh. No replacements have been named for the ODI squad currently in New Zealand.”
The BCCI named the squads for the New Zealand and Bangladesh tours, where the CSK maestro was named for the latter series, serving a four-month-long rehabilitation due to knee surgery.
Jadeja is now touted to return to international cricket in the Australian Test series to be played in India in February-March, 2023.
Squad for A series against Bangladesh
BCCI also released its squad for the A series which will take place ahead of the two-match Test series against the same opposition.
Further, the four-day A series schedule has also been announced with 1st game from 29th November and the second of 6th December at Cox Bazaar and Sylhet, respectively.
