The captain of Wales, Gareth Bale feels displeased with his team’s performance as Wales loses to Iran 2-0. After drawing their opening game against USA 1-1, the dragons lost to Iran. Iran after suffering a huge defeat against England bounced back with a win.

Wales loss to Iran has opened up the group. It was a disappointing performance from Wales. Rouzbeh Cheshmi and Ramin Rezaeian scored goals in the 99th and 101th minute to win the game.
The Dragons are at the bottom of their group with one point and their chance of qualifying for the round of 16 is in jeopardy. Wales captain Gareth Bale was totally unhappy with his team’s performance. Bale in the post match interview said
“It’s gutting. There’s no other way to say it. We fought until the last second but it’s one of those things; it’s difficult to take but we have to recover and go again.

“We have to pick ourselves up straight away. It’s going to be difficult but we’ve got one game left. And we want to enjoy it as well. It’s going to be difficult and it depends on the other game, we’ll see.”
Wales can still qualify to the round of 16
The Dragons after their loss to Iran will lock horns with England on Nov 29th in their last group game. England square off against USA in their next group game. If England wins the game against USA they are through to the round of 16. It leaves the group with Wales, USA and Iran fighting for the 2nd spot.
Wales in order to be in contention must win their last group game against England. USA must win over Iran. Then it comes up to the goal difference and the points that the teams end up with at the end of the group stage.
