India and Australia are set to lock horns with each other on Tuesday. The last time the giants of world cricket met in a T20I bilateral fixture, India won the series 2-1. However, Australia holds an advantage in that it plays on the Indian subcontinent.

The likes of Glenn Maxwell, David Warner and Steve Smith have mastered the art of playing spin in Indian conditions, which could bring some real challenges to the first-ever T20 world champions.

Steve Smith, Glenn Maxwell, and Josh Inglis are some of the crucial batsmen for the team. Among the bowlers, Pat Cummins, Josh Hazelwood, and Adam Zampa will lead the attack.

The unavailability of the team’s prime bowler, Mitchell Starc, and the all-rounders, Mitchell Marsh and Marcus Stoinis, is a big loss to the team and will definitely hamper their chances in this series.

Rohit Sharma will be leading the side. Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel will make a return to the team. Arshdeep Singh has been rested for the series. Key batters like KL Rahul, Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant, and Suryakumar Yadav are part of the squad.

Virat Kohli regained his form in the recently concluded Asia Cup and will be raring to go up against his favourite opponents at home.

Ind vs Aus Head-to-Head in T20I

India has the upper hand in the head-to-head stats between the two teams. Both sides collided on 23 occasions. India won 13 fixtures, while the Aussies emerged victorious on nine occasions.

Pitch Report:

The pitch at PCA, Mohali has always been favorable for batting. The batters can play their shots by trusting the bounce on the wicket. The outfield is fast as well, and once placed in the gap, the batters will get rewards for their shots. Expect a high-scoring game on Tuesday.
