Lionel Messi, who swapped Barcelona for PSG last year, endured a slightly difficult first season at Paris Saint-Germain in 2021/22, scoring 11 goals across all competitions.
He bagged a total of 15 assists from his 34 appearances, though the numbers were not that bad, the season was concluded as a tough one for him. But this season he’s off to a flying start.
Messi sharpness and his combination with other players clearly suggested that he is now settled in Ligue1 and ready to take on the World once again.
The Argentina captain has started in each of the eight matches across all competitions this campaign. He has scored four times and bagged six assists in those games.
Galtier, though, appears keen to manage Messi playing time to prevent any injuries to him. The former Barcelona forward has only played the full 90 minutes in one of PSG’s last four matches.
Mac Allister believes it is evident that the former Barcelona superstar does not like being taken off during games. He has thus requested Galtier to allow Messi to stay on the pitch.

Messi’s teammate, Brazilian superstar Neymar, has revealed that he wants to “have fun” alongside Lionel Messi at Paris Saint-Germain.
“I’ve known Messi for a long time. I was able to help him more on the pitch in training by speaking to him.
