Suryakumar Yadav scored another quick-fire half-century, scoring 68 runs from 26 balls, accompanied by a solid Virat Kohli, who turned up a fifty as India hit a challenging 192/2 in their second game against Hong Kong in the tournament, the Asia Cup 2022, at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Wednesday.

Suryakumar hit six fours and as many sixes, while Kohli hit four and three sixes in his 44-ball 59, with the pair adding 98 runs for the third wicket.

Hong Kong won the toss and elected to bowl first. KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma struggled to score early in the powerplay.

Rohit smashed six over long-on in the third over. Rahul capitalized on the free hit bowled by Haroon Khan as he smashed a huge six-over, deep midwicket.

Rohit Sharma was outfoxed by a slow off-cutter as he tried to smash Ayush Shukla over mid-off and ended up giving a simple easy catch to mid-on.

Rahul’s struggles with the bat continued as he scored 36 runs in 39 balls after scoring a duck against Pakistan on Sunday.

Virat Kohli

Virat Kohli was solid with the bat and anchored the Indian innings in the middle overs.

Kohli and Rahul added 56 runs in 49 balls before KL Rahul was dismissed by Mohammad Ghazanfar in the 13th over.

Suryakumar Yadav, who walked out to bat, started taking the attack to the Hong Kong bowlers. He smashed the bowlers to all parts of the ground, scoring a quickfire 68 runs from 26 balls.

Virat Kohli, who was struggling with form, finally found his touch, scoring a well-paced half-century and taking calculated risks.

Kohli smashed three huge sixes over mid-wicket and a solitary boundary. He brought up his 31st T20 international 50, equaling Rohit Sharma for the most ’50s in T20 international matches.

Suryakumar Yadav smashed four sixes in the last over as India reached 192 runs in 20 overs.
