Kasper Hjulmand has announced Denmark’s World Cup squad with 21 man, leaving 5 spots open to be decided in coming days. Christian Eriksen will be flying to Qatar along with the Danish contingent for the World Cup. Updated squad of Denmark to be released before 14th November.

Eriksen back to national set-up after Euro 2020
Christian Eriksen makes a return to the Denmark squad for the first time since his cardiac arrest at Euro 2020. The Manchester United midfielder is in fine form this season and has made an incredible comeback after his cardiac arrest. Eriksen has appeared in 18 games for United this season including 12 league games. He has recorded 5 assists against his name.
Five more spots open in the squad
Denmark haven’t revealed their full squad yet as there are 5 more spots up for grab. As per the manager, there are 12 players in contention for the remaining 5 spots. With November 14 as the deadline, Hjumland will decide on the remaining spots and make an announcement soon.

Schmeichel, Hojberg, Kjaer and Damsgaard will be some of the key figures to watch out apart from Eriksen. Experienced campaigners like Christensen and Delaney are also a part of the squad.
Denmark showed a spirited performance which saw them make it to semi finals in Euro. The Danes are on a high momentum with recent victories against France. They kick start their world cup campaign with a fixture against Tunisia on 22nd November. Denmark along with France, Tunisia and Australia completes Group D.
