England’s rising star Harry Brook ended the year on a positive note as he bagged the ICC Men’s player of the month award for the month of December 2022. Harry Brook had strong competition for the award as he was shortlisted along side Babar Azam and Travis Head. But Brook’s sensational form during England’s whitewash of Pakistan sealed the trophy in his favour.
The 23-year-old Brooks scored centuries in all three Test match victories over Pakistan. England handed Pakistan a 3-0 whitewash. In the series Brooks finished as the highest run-scorer with 468 runs from three matches. In the absence of Jonny Bairstow, the youngster put up a noteworthy performance in the middle-order, scoring at a rate of 93.41. It was a memorable series for the youngster where he struck three centuries and a half century.
Prior to the Pakistan series, Brooks had played just one Test match. In the first match in Rawalpindi, Brook hammered his first century. The youngster struck a scintillating 153, followed by 87. Brooks ripped through the Pakistan line-up as his century came off just 116 deliveries.

Visiting Pakistan after a gap of 17 years, not only did England return with a thumping 3-0 series win, but Brooks himself put up a dazzling show with the willow as he followed his first century with two more in the next two matches. The youngster’s form in the Pakistan series earned him the accolades as he clinched not only the Player of the Series award, but also the ICC’s player of the month award.
Harry Brook after his scintillating performance in the month of December was picked by the Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL Auction for a whopping 13.5 CR. Brook in his first ever IPL goes for huge money. His performance against Pakistan in the 7 match T20I series caught the attention of the Sunrisers Hyderabad franchise.

Harry Brook scored 238 runs in 6 innings in the 7 match T20I series. He smashed the Pakistan bowlers in the 3rd T20I scoring 81 runs in 35 balls smashing 8 fours and 5 sixes. Brook’s strike rate is above 150 in T20’s.

Brook early in his career is off to a great start scoring three hundreds in his first four test matches. He has been an integral part of the England U-19 squad. Brook plays for Yorkshire in the England county and T20 Blast. He was also part off Northern Superchargers, England Lions, Hobart Hurricanes and currently he is playing for Johannesburg Super Kings in SA T20 league.
