Hirving Lozano’s former agent has claimed Everton is one of two Premier League clubs who are interested in bringing the Mexican forward to England.

Alessandro Monfrecola says that the player he used to represent will leave Napoli next summer and Everton could be his next club.
Lozano has been at Napoli since 2019 and played for the Italian club under former Blues boss Carlo Ancelotti.
After Ancelotti moved to Merseyside in December 2019, there were rumors that this connection might see the winger also move to the Premier League.

After all, Ancelotti’s reputation had persuaded Allan to leave the Serie A side for the Toffees and of course most spectacularly of all, James Rodriguez to swap Real Madrid for Everton.
Nothing came of this speculation and then abruptly and unexpectedly, Ancelotti left Goodison Park in the summer of 2021.
Now, this report claims that the Blues have revived their interest in Lozano as Frank Lampard attempts to bring in additional attacking options, although they will supposedly face competition from tomorrow’s opponents Manchester United.
Despite a solid summer of recruitment in which some excellent signings were made (especially James Tarkowski and Conor Coady for free and Idrissa Gueye for a snip of a fee) Lampard couldn’t add more than one forward with only Neal Maupay joining before the window shut.
Maupay was a good addition but with Dominic Calvert-Lewin having only now just recovered from his latest injury sustained before the start of the season, the team has struggled to score enough goals.
So, it does seem very likely that the Toffees will go back into the transfer market to add further attacking reinforcements, possibly as early as January’s window.
That is a difficult time to try and recruit new players and so unless the injury has struck hard again (with Calvert-Lewin’s health a constant worry) I imagine that it will be next summer before further long-term recruitment takes place.
Other forwards are being strongly and repeatedly linked with a move to Everton such as Mykhaylo Mudryk and Coady Gapko so it remains to be seen if any alleged interest in Lozano has any substance to it.
