Khamzat Chimaev has an 11-0 overall record, with nine of his fights ending in knockouts. All of his opponents have struggled with his strength.
Nate Diaz, on the other hand, has seen everything. He has a 21-13 MMA record and has won 13 of his fights by submission. Diaz has one of the most bizarre fight records in the sport. He has won fights against Conor McGregor, Donald Cerrone, and Anthony Pettis. Throughout the years, his relentless cardio and brilliant Jiu-Jitsu have caused problems for the UFC.
LI JingLiang vs Tony Ferguson – Welterweight fight
Chinese fighter LI JingLiang battle it out against Tony Ferguson in the first welterweight bout of the night. Tony Ferguson is a strong striker and very tough fighter.
Tony Ferguson was once considered one of the most dangerous fighters on the UFC roster. Ferguson had won 12 straight matches, including one for the interim lightweight championship. Furthermore, during his dominant reign in the UFC, Ferguson showcased violence in his fights with an underlying note of elite durability in his own eyes.
JingLiang is a very good strike and grappler. The wrestler- boxer fighter loves to attack his opponents and earn his way to victory. He is a fighter who likes to exchange blows and is strong on offense. The caliber and the technique that he has makes it an interesting fight as both men are not traditional fighters.
Kevin Holland vs Daniel Rodriguez – Catchweight fight
Kevin Holland and Daniel Rodriguez of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) will compete in a catchweight bout this weekend at UFC 279.
Because of the short notice, this fight is technically a catchweight bout, but it is a continuation of Holland’s welterweight rise. Holland has won two stoppage fights since dropping to 170 pounds, placing himself in a position to re-enter the rankings sooner rather than later.
Rodriguez has amassed considerable momentum of his own. “D-Rod” has won six of his seven UFC fights, including three straight. We haven’t seen Rodriguez in the cage in a little over a year, but the Californian scrapper has more than earned a high-profile opportunity like this upcoming match against Holland.
Irene Aldana vs Macy Chiasson – Bantamweight fight
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) women’s Bantamweight scrappers Irene Aldana and Macy Chiasson will go to war this weekend (Sat., Sept. 10, 2022) at UFC 279.
Aldana is possibly the last exciting contender at 135 pounds who hasn’t lost to Amanda Nunes. She had fast-tracked to a title shot after knocking out Ketlen Vieira, but her momentum was slowed down by Holly Holm. Irene Aldana lost to Holly Holm. She battled back well last time out, But she still needs a big win to re-establish herself in the title picture.
Chiasson possesses talent. She has struggled to maintain consistent momentum as The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) champion. Chiasson has a good UFC record (6-2) and has been bouncing around weight classes.
