England chased down the score in 15th overs, Harry Brook and Sam Curran finished the chase in a hurry.

The English side led by Jos Buttler put in a Babar Azam-less Pakistan to bat first in the match. The Men in Green got off to a brilliant start as openers Shan Masood and Haider Ali registered a blistering 49-run opening stand in 4.5 overs.

Masood was going great guns before being dismissed after the powerplay. Pakistan crawled their way to a total 160 runs after the match was reduced to 19 overs per side due to a rain.

Sam Curran continued his good form with the ball, conceding just 14 runs in his two overs as England used as many as eight bowlers in the inning, Sam was brilliant with bat in hand as welL.

England’s middle order had an impressive outing against the Pakistani bowlers. Alex Hales and Phil Salt opened the batting, neither of them could make use of the chance and were dismissed cheaply.

Ben Stokes started his counterattacking innings and after his return Liam Livingstone continued fro where Stokes left off. Livingstone’s blitz was followed by Harry Brook and Sam Curran’s breathtaking partnership.

Pakistan were extremely poor in the field today, lots of catch and misfields were see today, especially by Haider Ali who had a day to forgert, the other Ali that is Asif Ali, had taken the duty of the gloves and dropped a few chances and give away more the 10 extras.

Pakistan looked rusty today and will hope to shake it off before the big game against India on Sunday. They have another warm up game in hand to get back into rhythm. On the other hand, England will be pleased especially with how the chase panned out.

Here are some of the trolls on Twitter on Pakistan’s performance:
